Barcelona: La Sagrada Família
There is no photo of the Sagrada Família, Antoni Gaudi’s unfinished masterpiece, which can do it justice. This cathedral is like nothing I’ve ever seen before and, after being inside, I can honestly say that this is one architectural feat that must be experienced in person. However, still wanting a photographic memory of the visit, I decided to focus my camera on the stained glass. Over ten years ago artist Toni Vila-Grau began work on these mesmerizing windows that are still being constructed. According to Vila-Grau, his work aims to portray a “symphony of color”, creating an environment that only the projection of the sun’s rays through glass could achieve. The result is incredible and I could stare at these shapes and colors every day…
